U.S. is pressing Mexico to allow U.S. forces to fight cartels.

Subhead, the United States is intensifying pressure on Mexico to allow U.S. military forces

to conduct joint operations to dismantle fentanyl labs inside Mexico, according to New York

Times reporting.

Cody Shinebomb, you said, is sent oil to Havana, despite the remarks by the Trump

administration.

But this looks like an expedition into Mexican sovereign territory, reminding, of course,

of the Woodrow Wilson decision to send a punitive expedition in 1916 with, led by John Pershing.

But nowhere near the romance of this.

We're talking about heavily armored troops going in and crossing the border and taking possession, perhaps in conflict with the cartels that are well armed.

Where is this going, Professor?

What's your sense of things? It's just now reported. My sense, Sean, is Claudia Scheinbaum is astutely navigating things to try to protect Mexican sovereignty while, and pushing back in

certain areas while accommodating where she needs to, especially given the importance of the U.S.MCA renegotiation this year,

which is critical for the Mexican economy, given that something like 80 to 90 percent of all Mexican exports go to the United States.

Having worked with the Mexican military over a course of years. And actually, they, despite the corruption

at the federal and state level, are very, very impressive. But, and the cooperation with the U.S.,

going back to the first Trump administration and before has actually been much greater than many

people recognize. There are exercises between the U.S. 5 Fifth Army and other U.S. forces and the Mexican
