I'm John Batser, Gregory Copley, my mentor and friend is here to explain himself. Gregory published a book

Sovereignty in the 21st Century, some years hence. And he published that book, looking at what was the

conditions in the second decade of the 21st century. Look at where we are in the third decade. Russia on the

march, China threatening ever larger fleets and nuclear arsenals

and conquest of space. The European Union confused. And the United States, in the second term of

Donald Trump, right now, entering into the same period of chaos, crater metamorphosis that we can see in Russia and China,

looking for what comes next. A thousand-year cycle has ended globally, asserts Gregory,

and we move into the next thousand years. One theme that Gregory that you've mentioned twice

with the Russian example and the Chinese example is

defensive. Is the U.S. now in a defensive mode about its sovereignty? And critical to this,

of course, as you write in your book, is those states read empires that enforce their borders

will win. Is the U.S. endeavoring to enforce its border?

Absolutely.

And I think that President Trump's actions are a reflection of, if you like,

insecurity and defensiveness.

He rightly perceived, along with a lot of other observers,

that the United States was endangered by its open borders,

its collapse of identity, its collapse of purpose, its decline in meaningful real growth,

as opposed to statistical growth, was in danger.

So he basically took the United States on an offensive globally to reassert

the prospect of U.S. dominance, the prospect of U.S. economic growth and prestige in power.
