There is other action, but those two are dominating the headlines these last hours and these last days.

Iran escalates attacks.

That word escalate is important.

Across the Gulf, after more U.S. strikes, subhead, U.S. and Iranian forces exchanged heavy missile and drone assaults

with Tehran targeting U.S. assets in six countries and saying it had again closed the Strait of Hormuz.

The subheads also include pointing to other stories these last hours, for example, within the hour.

U.S. says it hit Iranian air defenses, coastal radars, small boats.

At the same time, rescuers search for crew members after container ship, attack, and straight-of-war moves.

Oil is bobbing around no certainty.

Certainly it has not returned to the anxiety of $10, $110 a barrel that was commonplace in the early weeks of the exchange of fire between Iran and the U.S.

But it is no longer certainly going into the 60s where it was headed before the war.

What we have here is a story that is escalating, as the word is, used in Reuters, escalating.

The reason I focus on that word is that there is a general opinion that, for example, the Russian military follows escalate to de-escalate guidelines.
