I welcome Victor Davis-Hanson himself, the author of this book, who writes most recently to reflect upon what to make of a Russian army,

that overwhelming numbers and vast superiority in strike force at the point of attack in February of 2022,

did not run over the Ukrainian defenses, thrown up very hastily with citizens with no training getting weapons

and told to go to the frontier and battle Soviet armor, how they did not overrun Kiev,

and how they remained bogged down behind trenches that were-remind of their done.
