You're a leader, I'm a leader.

Every single day, whether you're talking about being a parent,

you're talking about being in business,

you're talking about helping somebody move forward in their life.

We're all leading in some capacity.

So my question for you is, what are your rules for being a leader?

I'll tell you, I learned a long time ago,

the number one thing that's always served me is my personal psychology.

And that comes down to what I'm saying to myself,

the questions that I'm asking and the way that I move my body.

What I'm saying to myself, I'm walking into a meeting,

and by getting myself fired up for the meeting,

am I getting myself calm for the meeting?

I'm saying something to myself to make sure

that I'm putting myself up here in the right emotional state.

The other one is the questions that you're asking yourself.

If you're asking yourself questions like,

oh my God, I hope this meeting goes well

or making any statement like that,

you're already putting yourself in a position

where you're not leading, you're not being the person

that can move the needle forward,
