Summary

Life's challenges are not roadblocks, but rather, they are opportunities for growth. This meditation reframes difficulties as stepping stones on your path to becoming stronger. Through mindful reflection and guided imagery, you'll learn to transform setbacks into valuable lessons, empowering you to rise stronger and more resilient in the new year.

This is a BONUS 7-day meditation series offering you a longer, guided meditation. These are the same meditations I share daily on the Sip and Om meditation app that you can access for an entire week free. Enjoy!

THIS WEEK'S SERIES

Often, our struggles aren't caused by the challenges themselves, but by our resistance to them. This meditation series explores the power of acceptance and non-resistance as key components of resilience. By learning to embrace the present moment, just as it is, you'll cultivate a sense of inner peace and stability that allows you to weather any storm.

Welcome to episode 3,028 of your daily guided meditation. I welcome you to day six of this week's

0:11.1

journey to become resilient. And we are creeping up on week three. And as I've shared, the 21 day mark happens to be the time when most people drop their goals.

0:30.2

Those resolutions they set for the new year and for you, I know many of you do not set resolutions.

0:37.7

And I don't necessarily set resolutions myself, but I do set goals.

0:45.3

I like to set quarterly goals.

0:48.0

And the reason I do this is because I find that if I don't set a goal, I don't end up doing those things that mean a lot to me,

1:00.0

but that don't necessarily move me forward professionally or in relationships.

1:06.7

I find that I set goals that are important to me.

1:14.4

They are unique to me and they help me to feel like my life has more purpose.

1:22.0

Before I started to set quarterly personal goals, I felt a little like I was on a hamster wheel that I was

1:31.3

constantly pursuing things that would move me forward in a particular direction but not

1:38.6

necessarily a direction that had to do with just myself and my interests.

1:46.1

And I felt that when I did not set these personal goals for myself quarterly,

1:51.7

that it was really easy for me to begin to lose myself

1:56.2

because I would get caught up on other people's agendas

1:59.8

or I would start doing what those nearest to me

2:05.4

were doing because you will find that people in your life you tend to emulate and become

2:15.5

similar to them even if you're not trying to do so.

2:20.2

So when I create personal goals for myself, I feel like I'm so much better able to

2:28.1

feel a strong association with who I uniquely am.

2:34.7

So I find these personal goals to be very grounding, and they're like little journeys

2:40.8

I go on quarterly.
