I'm Mary Mechley and I welcome you back to our series we're exploring this week.

This week the theme is surrender and in each episode you have been guided to release difficult

emotions that can hold you back or keep you feeling stuck.

We've explored releasing fear, anxiety, toxic relationships and toxic thoughts.

And in today's episode you're going to release expectations, society or others may have.

It can be difficult to surrender to what you don't necessarily feel attuned to anymore.

I think this is especially important these days when societies expectations are being somewhat divided.

When you look up the definition of society expectation you'll find statements such as a general

societal climate where people's imagined reference groups or communities affect their behaviors.

So many people feel themselves being divided because of the coronavirus whether or not to

wear a mask or to get vaccinated and also politically.

So as you go through the meditation today I invite you to tap into your inner self.

This is what's going to ground you so whatever's happening out there in the world and there

is a lot happening these days know that you can still ground yourself in your core values.

We don't necessarily know that we have all the facts or that anyone has any real certainty

about certain major issues these days over which people are taking definite stands.

This is a journey we are all on together.

Like you I'm sure you hear from friends and people you meet randomly who tell you oh

it's so good to be in a certain location because they feel safe because there are a lot of

mandates regarding masks or vaccines where I live in Florida there aren't so many mandates

and so many people I come across from other countries and other states say oh thank goodness
