Summary

How do we parent well in a world that feels increasingly chaotic and confusing for our children? Today, Gabe and Rebekah welcome their author, speaker, and professor Dr. Laurie Krieg to the podcast for a deep and necessary conversation on navigating the most challenging questions our kids are facing today. As a mother of three and a specialist in human sexuality for over a decade, Laurie brings a unique blend of professional expertise and gospel-centered grace to the table. This conversation dives into the heart of Laurie and her husband Matt’s book, Raising Wise Kids in a Sexually Broken World. Together, they discuss how to move away from a posture of fear or legalism and toward a foundation of security built on God’s original design.

And so we're trying to get some, you know, some of the big stuff locked down. Obviously, the venue, food, you know, things that are... Invitation. Dress. She said yes to the dress. She just had her bachelorette party, which was really fun. She loved it. And like a whole weekend. So, but anyways, it was really... It's been a fun season to just, like, watch our kids in all different, like, arenas. You know, like, our son has been married for a few months now and just

Staining his clothes as well as wanting to clean his clothes. That kid goes through probably three to four outfits a day. He comes home from school. He changes, comes down,

mostly clean. Mostly clean. And brings them back down and puts him in a basket because he's like, if you're doing washing clothes, then I should be too. That's right. Or takes the clean clothes. I've just pulled out of the dryer. Haven't had time to fold or put away and he'll grab all those, take them up, even if they're my clothes, or your clothes. And we can't find our clothes. And shove them into his drawers and claws.

So he's trying to be a helper, but honestly, we are having to go up there a million times and figure out where things are that are missing. I don't know some of you're judging us. You're like, you should train him better. Like you should have pictures and labels on the drawer. I do. Okay. I've done that. I've printed the pants, and it says pants.
