Hi, it's Andy here and welcome to Radio Headspace. So it's Thursday morning and I have a question

for you. Who is it or what is it that you appreciate most in your life? And ordinarily when

we are asked a question like that we tend to sort of immediately flip it around and we

think to ourselves, okay what do I appreciate or who do I appreciate? And in turning it

inwards in that way, somehow it makes the mind a little smaller. If you were to ask that

question to yourself, I suggest keeping it in the second person. So who do you appreciate

or what do you appreciate most in your life? And the reason I ask you this question is because

very often we are so caught up in life that we don't necessarily allow in that feeling

of appreciation and gratitude that actually brings a huge amount of joy to our life. Over

the years I've had the opportunity to work with lots of different people using lots of

different types of meditation techniques. This one time we sat and I was talking to him

through the exercise, we would drop in these questions every now and again. And at the

end of the exercise he said, do you mind if I share with you what it was? I said, you

can but you don't need to. That's for you, it's not for me and it's more about how you

feel rather than the idea itself. And he said, yeah, but I find myself feeling maybe even
