| 0:00.0 | Assuming that you listen to last week's episode, we updated you on our trip or the first half of our trip, first half of our trip. |
| 0:10.0 | Yeah, first half of our trip, most of it anyways, in France. Since that time, however, we have been to Italy and I freaking fell in love. |
| 0:22.6 | Yes, at the moment we're in Greece, but let me talk to you for a moment about Italy. |
| 0:26.0 | So we got to go to Italy to see my cousin sister, Ashley. I call her a cousin sister because she's a cousin, but she also kind of feels like a sister. |
| 0:35.0 | And even though I'm 18 years older than her, I just am very close with her. I freaking love her and I love her family and I love her girls. |
| 0:44.0 | Her girls feel like nieces to me more than they feel like cousins and her husband is an army ranger who is currently working for NATO, which when you're in Italy, they pronounce it NATO. |
| 0:55.0 | So like Italians would say when we were all together, like, oh, what do you do? And they would say, not oh, and I'm like, what are you saying? |
| 1:04.0 | And that's how they pronounce NATO. But anyways, that was the most unbelievably unexpectedly gorgeous. |
| 1:13.0 | I mean, if there's anything about this trip that maybe like we've learned and would well, there's a bunch of things we probably learn, you know, do different each time. |
| 1:21.0 | We're new to traveling. We're new to being world travelers, wouldn't you say? Of course we are. But going to Italy was so unexpected. |
| 1:30.0 | And also landing in the airport that we did the Katania airport is trash. And even the Sweeney said that it's horrible. |
| 1:40.0 | Then we need to drive to teramino, teramina or whatever however you pronounce it is very so unassuming. It's very like rural. It's like you're looking like you're in kind of like kind of dry brown fields and fields that we just learned later that there's very agriculture there. |
| 1:59.0 | And they're like in the middle of growing season. So, but it's not like cute. And then when you get to teramino, you like pull off the street. |
| 2:07.0 | And then you wind up this mountain, which is so unassuming. It's a huge cliff, a huge cliff. And then we got to our hotel. Actually, it wasn't even till we walked down into the city. |
| 2:18.0 | And I go back to the drive. Okay, so the drive. First of all, the airport. Okay, so for those of you who are on Patreon, you're in luck. |
| 2:26.0 | I started recording my husband because he was throwing like a fit and being his Brett Johnson unfiltered self. And I whipped out my phone and started recording him because he was not having it at the airport and was like so annoyed with people, which he's often annoyed with people when we're at airports. But like in particular, this is like a classic moment. |
| 2:45.0 | So I recorded it. It'll be on Patreon. Okay, but so then we wait forever, forever, forever to get our bags. We get our bags. And we get in this, you know, van to go to our hotel. |
| 2:57.0 | And it's at that point. I'm okay. So we're from Southern California where even if you're dirt broke, people drive cars that they cannot afford. |
| 3:09.0 | Everyone is in a new luxury vehicle like everybody. Even when I go back to Michigan, people drive vehicles that they can afford. But in California, every car is new and every car is beautiful. |
| 3:21.0 | Everyone drives a BMW Mercedes and like if they're not driving one of those vehicles, their vehicle just looks really nice and they're big. Yeah, in Orange County, everybody's bougie. |
| 3:30.0 | So as we're driving, you know, like 100 miles per hour, it just feels like are there laws here? Are there rules here? Is anyone wearing a seatbelt? And people are in these little teeny tiny, like smart cars, like every car is so tiny and so rickety and looks like so old and beat up. |
| 3:49.0 | So you just, you know, you start looking around going like, where are we? It's the European way. Like people don't spend money on their cars. And then once we got to teramina, as a teramina or teramino, we should know. |
