This is John Batch, a conversation with my good colleague Bob Zimmerman about Boeing, SLS, NASA, and the future of the Artemis program.

It appears all signs point to SLS being canceled by the White House.

That leaves Boeing out of the business of going to the moon.

It doesn't rule out the moon, just not an SLS.

What does that mean for the Artemis program,

which is a participation of many nations to go to the moon

with the U.S. or under the umbrella of the U.S.

All to be, as Bob says, reconfigured.

This is actually, there are two stories here, John, both involving Boeing and NASA.

The Artemis program is NASA's,

is the Trump proposed in his first administration,

lunar program that NASA's been putting together,

and it's central rocket and capsule SLS and Orion.

That's what the main capsule and rocket that NASA wants to use.

There appear to be, there's been rumors that SLS is on very, very weak ice,

that the politics are now blowing very much against it,

and it's very, very possible that the Trump administration is

going to cancel it.
