and we're very pleased to welcome Mark Simon, a longtime contributor to the success of Apple Daily

Jimmy Lai is in jail and Mark's with us.

And Mark can help me understand a headline out of, most recently, out of Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Press Club's survey finds 65% of the members say they self-censor.

33% considering leaving the city over press freedom.

Mark, a very good evening to you, given that you and your people at Apple Daily

dominated the conversation in Hong Kong, this seems like another world from where you

were.

However, I combined this with, after reading this story,

I looked at a story filed by the F.T. from Beijing this morning, claiming that China was going to

meet its 5% GDP growth ambition in year 2025, despite what we can see at the ports and in the factories of complete shutdown.

So does what happens in Hong Kong also happen in Beijing, self-censorship? Good evening to you, Mark.

Good evening. Well, absolutely. I would say that the F.T. is fulfilling that prophecy of what happens in Hong Kong because if you want,

if the FT wants to correspondence to be able to stay in Beijing,

then they probably shouldn't be contradicting the government.

The government says we're going to have 5%.

Unfortunately, the FD do-to-leap, you know, they do-to-fleeve report that back when nobody believes that. In Hong Kong, when you get down to leave, you know, they to do to leave report that back when nobody believes that. In Hong Kong,
