Welcome back to Sex Chat for Christian Wives. First Thessalonians 5 tells us to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.

Today we're going to talk about what this means in relation to sex. How can we pray about sex or during sex? And is it really okay? So,

let's start by talking about how some women feel about the idea of prayer and sex being in the same

sentence. Shutter. That's what I think. A lot of women go, oh, I can't even imagine. It just feels

weird, awkward.

That's it.

That's all I got.

I think it feels weird.

So it doesn't surprise me that a lot of women, maybe a lot of our listeners, I think

it's weird.

It's just, I think, you know, it's just two things that most people don't have any background

in associating one with the other. Plus,

you know, even for women who are working to make sex a positive in their life, there's still,

I think, often some negative history or connotations. So the whole thing just seems weird. And I'll

just say it seems weird to me. I appreciate your

honesty. And now we're cutting you off this call. No. No, I think it's really important that our

listeners really know they are not alone and feeling like that. It is weird. I will agree. It took, I'm kind of past the weird

stage, but it took a lot of crisis to help me get past the weird stage because it was the only

thing I had. For a long time, I had this idea that, because sex was of the flesh, it was wrong or

bad or not as pure as spirituality. And so

prayer for me was this very spiritual thing. And I'm talking with God. And I would think, well,
