I'm Mary Meckley and I honor you as you give yourself a little more peace, energy, and clarity this week as we explore the theme of mental cleanse.

And when you cleanse your thoughts, you also improve your physical health.

Research shows that people who have positive thoughts are healthier and happier.

And that makes sense when you consider how your breath is

inextricably linked to your emotional state and your emotional state has a lot to do

So when you focus on an intention and really focus your thoughts on living out that intention,

this can dramatically improve your physical and your mental health. Some of the

benefits of positive thinking include a longer lifespan. It lowers your chance of having a heart

attack. You have greater resistance to illnesses such as the calm and cold.

It helps you manage your stress.

And it also helps you better tolerate pain.

The mental health benefits include more creativity,

greater problem-solving skills. You have clearer thinking. You're in a better mood and you have better coping skills. And perhaps the most important mental benefit is you're less likely to suffer from the rumination that leads to depression.
