I welcome you to the final episode of our series. This week we've been exploring a

0:06.0

theme selected by one of your fellow meditators and this is episode 2,923 of the

0:15.8

Daily Meditation Podcast. I'm Mary Mechley and I'm excited to share with you

0:22.6

this final episode where we've been exploring the theme, the art of not

0:28.8

giving up and it truly is an art. You've had the challenge this week that Andrea

0:36.3

issued and that is not to give up on something you love. So reflect on what it is you love

0:46.4

doing and then pursue it and then don't give up. I'll guide you through a little insight

0:54.4

and then I'll share with you your meditation for today. The insight I want to share with you

1:04.4

has to do with ways that I came across as I did research about this episode and the topic of not

1:13.6

giving up. The main ways not to give up that I came across that kept appearing again and again

1:25.6

in research is first to become really clear about your goals by writing them down and prioritize

1:36.8

how you'll do these goals. The process of actually writing them down helps to create clarity

1:45.6

and helps you to feel more committed and clear about what it is you want to pursue.

1:53.6

The next thing that's recommended to do is to visualize yourself every day achieving what it is

2:03.6

you want to do and I shared with you this concept I believe it was in yesterday's episode

2:11.6

so I shared that with you throughout this week's series and this is a powerful way for you to

2:21.2

begin to achieve your goals when you visualize exactly what you want to do and what you might need to

2:29.3

do to get there. The next suggestion to not give up on something that means a lot to you

2:41.1

is to think about how you'll feel when you accomplish your goal so this is often referred to as

2:50.0

future pacing visualize how you'll feel in your body when you achieve your goal. This is a powerful

3:00.8

way to help you stay committed and focused on your goal so you don't give up. So in today's episode

3:11.2

I invite you now to settle yourself down and get ready for your final meditation in this week's
