Welcome back to Lanchin Rouge Cycling Podcast for the doubleheader recap of Paranese and Torreno,

Adriatico, a long miserable day in the saddle for both races. The best weather in Europe at the moment

is in Belgium the last week, which is kind of crazy. It was under sunny skies in J.P. Oettinger,

but Paranese, we have the first uphill finish, the real sorting out of where everybody's

level is up La Lodge de Guard.

But before then, there's a lot of hilly terrain from Vichy across 164Ks, medium mountains, 4K, 6%, 2K,6%.

Before the final climb, 7Ks, 7 percent the uh last the penultimate

kilometer is only four and a half percent so you want to have a gap before then and then

the last 700 meters kicks up quite a lot at 8.5 percent and uh we had vismer in the

lead with the Jorgensen six seconds out of Vingard, our mate on about 42 seconds,

and then a lot in the 30s to 50 second range pre-stage.

But before we start the stage, I'll say what I was expecting when it comes to the stage.

I was first of all hoping for a G.C. battle.

I like breakaway victories every

now and then, but I do want myself a bit of a GC fight on, there's not too many mountain

stages in one week races. So on Lourge de Garda was hoping for a battle of the GC riders. Then

you've got Fismalisa bike settling themselves in GC before today's stage. Very well would have

to win GC. But Jorgensen is in G.C. before today's stage, very well would have won to win G.C.

But Jorgensen is in the yellow jersey. Vingago is second in G.C. I feel like there's been a bit of

exaggeration on the on the drama of the dual leadership of Vizmaelisa bike at this way.

Because at the end of the day, I think before today's stage started, if you ask Jorgensen or

Vingago, of the record, if they tell their families or something, and they probably wouldn't
