Maui names 388 people who are still missing weeks after deadly plays.

Maui County called on the public to contact the FBI goes to subhead.

As soon as possible, if they can confirm that any of the people listed is missing, are in fact safe.

To help me understand Lahaina and the missing, because I've seen numbers over these last days,

115 confirmed dead, but the number thousands I thought I saw, Jeff, a very good evening to,

did I not see up to a thousand missing and now we have 388?

How do we put these two together? Good evening to you, Jeff.

Good evening, John. This is not unusual in major disaster catastrophe situations,

where you have a large number of people involved who are cut off from their normal locations,

who are cut off from communications.

Cellular was down there for quite some time on the island.

Electricity was out for quite some time.

People went all over the island to escape the fires, so it's not unusual.

It often comes down, once people start relocating, getting in touch with people,

they know that type of thing or telling authorities, oh, I know I'm on your missing list,

but I'm okay, I'm over in this town over here.
