Summary

Hilary Swanson is my editor at Harper Collins. I loved our conversation about books, writing and so much more! She's an Editor acquiring prescriptive and narrative books in the areas of feminism & fresh female voices, smart & edgy humor, anti-self-help, memoir, mental health, and unique/emerging subcultures. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she studied publishing at Emerson College in Boston and wrote for Brooklyn-based Mass Appeal magazine before returning to San Francisco, where she worked in marketing and publicity for City Lights Publishers—and once found a bag of Allen Ginsberg’s notebooks in a forgotten corner of the office.
