she was one of those children who demanded her parents to read her three books a night

and since then she's been reading books

editing books championing amazing stories so you know one thing that you may not know

many people don't know is that an editor, they don't just

edit your books. They find material, they champion the book,

are involved in the entire process, or they're more of like a, say a producer of a movie instead of the editor of a movie. So get ready to get schooled on books in the book business, but also here

an amazing story she is so smart and well read and just knows her shit but also just amazing down to earth warm person.

What exactly does an editor do? I think a lot of people think an editor just

edits books and that's not true. Yes, yes, there is a lot of misconception about what I do.

So just to back it up a little bit,

I'm an editor at Harper Collins and I've been there for about eight years and I work in the non-fiction world so I get to just keep the fiction stories for fun, but my business is the, you know, telling the real stories of real people.

So when I say that I'm an editor. Yeah, typically people picture me with big stacks of

manuscripts and books just like sitting in some like plush chair like reading

all day and unfortunately that is not the case.
