I'm John Batchel.

Looking to the NATO meeting at the Hague most recently

and the successes and disappointments for the NATO members,

32 states, especially with regard to Ukraine.

However, the largest story NATO will tell more completely over

the next years is the commitment to spending of the GDP per year growing to 5%, now somewhat under

two average, I believe, I'm not sure because everybody's been moving around the deck chairs.

In any event, this is three and a half to five percent commitment by the NATO members,

led by the General Secretary Mark Routy.

And that's three and a half to five percent of $20 trillion.

Yes, $20 is the GDP of the EU.

So we're looking at a considerable investment,

which explains why the companies associated with defense

are flying ahead of all stock markets.

I saw this morning that Rine Medal,

that's the holding company,

that has many of the patents and access and factories

for German defense industry,

is trading it 60 times its earnings,

forward-looking earnings.

In other words, Germany is right in the middle of this story.
