That paradigm shift of thinking about all the obstacles in my day that prevent me from sitting down at my desk and doing the creative work that I want to do are actually fuel for my creativity.

Let it Out. And today, you're about to hear a conversation I recorded over Zoom with Jenny Edgar. She is a visual artist and the founder and creator of So Textual, which we talk about at length and this.

And she also works as a freelance editorial and art director, which she's been doing since 2018. We get into that.

She writes and designs so purposefully. Everything she does is with

intention and poise. She's really creative and cool. And we talk about everything from just that

being cool. We get into what does that exactly mean to each of us. We talk about affect theory, reading styles, how we read, why we read, creative direction

and what that actually means.

We talk about a book that I can't stop talking about, which is Chris Krause's I Love Dick,

and having a person in mind when you are moving through the world that you want to

tell things about. We talk about Adrian Linker and Eve Babbitt and her grandma, Nora Ephraffron,

and being a narrative person and looking at your life as a project, she recommends books.
