New York is a really challenging course to run your first marathon on. I've heard that a lot from a lot of respected sources.

But it's the marathon that I've been watching Kim, my training partner, Kim Smith, and Amy Hastings do for the last,

you know, I think Kim's done it five or six times.

And I've been in New York to watch the marathon,

um, I'll probably four or five times and I've run so many New York Roadrunner

races that I just felt like it was a, it was the marathon that I was so excited to do.

I just wanted to do it for my first marathon and I think you need that level of excitement.

You know, it took a while for the thought of running a marathon to even go from scaring me to exciting me and I just think if you're going to do all that

training and and race 26.2 miles you need it to be a race that you're really

anticipating and really like really want to be
