So recently I received a question from someone who works in the field of child care.

They asked if mindfulness would be beneficial for young children.

Naturally I responded with a resounding yes.

Mindfulness is very beneficial for children.

I often think about how different my life would be if I had learned about mindfulness at

an early age.

Not that I live in a space of regret, but there would definitely be a lot of mistakes

that wouldn't have been made.

And also there would have been many situations I could have taken advantage of had I been

more in a space of awareness.

I might have been able to see what my needs were more clearly.

Children are a very unique group.

I actually used to teach mindfulness to second through seventh graders.

That was a very rewarding and often hilarious experience.

Well, now I can look back and laugh.

But there were moments where I was definitely in the space of anger.

I remember this one particular incident when I was teaching sitting meditation to the

class.

These were four fourth or fifth graders.
