You know that thing that goes beep when there's like a national security alert?

Let me just give a huge loving shout out and warning to people that think they're hiding secrets.

It's not a matter of if you're going to get caught.

It is when.

It's not a matter if it's going to be painful.

It's how painful.

The church is great at getting people to not have sex until they're married.

And then they leave them there.

And we don't talk about how to have sex after you're married.

So you have a Christian community filled with a lot of couples having terrible sex for a very long time

because nobody really speaks into it.

It just doesn't happen as much as it should.

Hopefully that's going to change. The last study that I, you know, as much as it should. Hopefully that's

going to change. The last study that I'm aware of that was done was in 1991 that Pat Carnes did.

He showed predominantly sex addicts came from emotionally abusive households. It wasn't just sex abuse

equals sex addiction. But emotional abuse superseded the sex abuse. So it doesn't have to be like a one-to-one

correlation for sex and sex addiction. Okay. So if someone is listening and they know right now

there's been sexual abuse in their past, what do you tell that person? Like what can you, where do you go? What do you do? What's the first step?
