Man, it's been an amazing month and I can't believe we're wrapping it up already doing this power thing.

And last week we talked about the power of words which was just an incredible, incredible conversation.

And I want to seal that conversation by recommending a couple of books that I think are directly related.

We talked about words and words are the building blocks of language.

I am so enthralled with language because it is clearly one of the ways that humanity was made in the image of God.

Our capacity for language to the extent that we have it is unique among all the other things that God created.

And so language is central to who we are from a sacred and divine perspective.

And we have seen incredible shifts in scripture around language, right?

The Tower of Babel and Pentecost.

How language changes can signal the beginning or end of an era.

Very, very big deal.

And so I think it's important to pay attention to language and to recognize the things that we assume or don't even consider.

Being true about how language helps us but also how our different languages can limit us from being able to communicate with other people properly.

And that can be literally in terms of I don't speak the same language that you do French versus Spanish versus German versus Swahili versus English.
