today's guest will inspire you, will motivate you. And to be honest, will also be just a really

interesting listen. For today, I am joined by a man who is part of the British Armed Forces.

He joined the RAF over 20 years ago, has been a Harrier pilot, has just finished his three-year

tour of duty as squadron leader of the Royal Air Force aerobatic team, also known as the Red

Arrows. How cool is that? I'm so excited to be joined by Martin Perth. Hello there.

Hello, Jenny. What an introduction. Thank you very much.

Well, I was going to say, I was going to introduce you as Ron Pod's first aviator, but I hate to say it.

We had Tim Peake and he's an aviator of sorts, really, isn't he? He was a helicopter pilot.

Yeah, he really is. And he seems to keep trumping me. So we won't talk about it.

He's not flown a red arrow.

Well, he actually flew with me last year, which is quite interesting because two redheads in the

cockpit and two pilots, it was great to get together. But yeah, we're in the job of trying

to inspire people and who's more inspiring than a man who's actually been to space in the International

Space Station.

It's so exciting to have you because I know that I was desperate to come and chat to you last year. Lockdown happened and we'll mess up plans for
