Welcome to the daily meditation podcast. I'm Mary Meckley and I'm a meditation teacher who

0:08.0

shares a different meditation technique every single day and each technique is customized around

0:17.0

a weekly theme so you get to explore a particular topic in depth using different meditation techniques so you can see what works best for you and I always leave important information about the topic and inspiration to inspire you and help

0:39.0

make your meditation ritual dynamic.

0:43.0

Well, first I want to say, I congratulate you for doing this for yourself,

0:50.0

for giving yourself permission to slow down and connect to the best part of who you are.

0:59.1

And in today's meditation, which is episode 771, you're going to be guided in a meditation where I'll

1:10.3

layer a couple different meditation techniques that we've explored throughout the week.

1:16.2

So our theme for this week is all about welcoming change into your life. In fact, embracing change. Many people feel as though

1:31.0

when they go through a major change, that a part of their life is slipping away,

1:38.6

and we're such creatures of a habit that this can feel as though you are closing a chapter permanently on a part of your life that you may have enjoyed.

1:54.0

Maybe it's a part of your life you don't want to change.

1:59.5

You want to keep things the same.

2:02.0

And so we've explored throughout this series and this is almost the last

2:08.8

day of the series. Tomorrow will be the final day of the series. So you can go back and listen to the other episodes for all

2:16.2

the information that I provided there.

2:20.2

But what we learned in this series is that when you undergo a change that's unexpected and even difficult or shocking, this can become a very important opportunity for you to let go of habits that

2:40.4

may no longer support you so well, and to even help redefine yourself in ways that you never

2:49.7

would have done before, because you just didn't have a reason to do this previously. So change often requires you to step up and

3:01.0

become a little bit more of who you are. So take heart if you're undergoing a change

3:08.9

that's been a little bit trying for you. So today's meditation is for a Friday's meditation and I like to

3:18.6

refer to Fridays as SIP and Oum Friday because my website the Sip part means sip like as in sipping tea
