| 0:00.0 | Welcome to episode 2732 of your daily guided meditation. Welcome to day 6. The |
| 0:10.7 | next to the last episode of our series, Calm Restless Thoughts. How are you doing? |
| 0:18.5 | How is your challenge coming along where you give yourself a worry rest for at |
| 0:26.4 | least one hour a day? I shared with you in a previous episode how I've broken |
| 0:34.4 | up that hour long chunk into three approximately 20 minutes to half hour times |
| 0:43.3 | during my day when I sit down to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And this |
| 0:51.1 | is when I've chosen to do my worry rest. And it's going really well. I am going to move |
| 1:00.3 | forward with this challenge a little and do the challenge as I suggested you do it. And |
| 1:08.1 | that is to set aside a specific time to do it. Because I notice that when I do a worry |
| 1:14.8 | rest when I'm eating, it's not too hard to relax because I'm doing something I'm enjoying. |
| 1:22.9 | What I really want to practice doing is the worry rest during the most stressful times |
| 1:31.6 | of my day and allow myself to experience a little grace and peace during this time by giving |
| 1:40.1 | myself that one hour rest from worry. I hope that you're able to do this too. And I know |
| 1:47.6 | that it's not easy. I've heard from several of you letting me know that it was really difficult |
| 1:54.1 | to do a worry rest for a full hour because you noticed your mind would start to wander and |
| 2:01.4 | start to get into your habitual pattern, which we know from research. Most people have the |
| 2:11.0 | habitual thought process to become distracted and to allow your mind to wander. So you are |
| 2:19.9 | definitely not alone. We're all in this together. As you know, meditation is one of the best ways |
| 2:27.8 | to help you focus your mind and strengthen that prefrontal lobe region of your brain so that you |
| 2:34.3 | begin to manage your stress in a much better way. In today's episode, you're going to be guided |
| 2:41.8 | in a beautiful calming, slow meditation where you layer together the meditation techniques we've |
| 2:49.6 | explored all week long. And I will be sharing with you some insight. As always, this is a lifestyle |
