self-help doesn't have to be so complicated.

Hi Ken. I'm doing all right. You know, thinking about what I want to process and talk about this morning. I don't know, it's funny, I think a lot of people go into therapy sessions not knowing what to talk about or they'll cancel because they don't have anything they want to talk about and then of course there's always something to talk about it in always always yeah so I don't really know where to start

Okay do you have like a few threads is that kind of is there like a competing need up there? Yeah, I would say

There's a few things happening in my life like if I was to take a black light to my life and for anxiety, one would be, there's, you know, some potential projects in the works and I have a lot of anxiety about them.

They have a lot of power over me and I think it's because life is just weird.

I tell people life is like a boomerang

where things from the past kind of come back.

And I don't know if we touched upon this,

but I used to be a screenwriter before I was a therapist.

A little bit, yeah.

Yeah.

And, you know, I sold a couple projects and stuff, but I couldn't make a living at it and also my marriage was falling apart and so I quit that career to to start all over and that's when we went back to grad school, Phillips, and then became a therapist.

And now, you know, 12 years later, there's been some possible TV stuff.

There's a few projects kind of coming my way and it's giving me a lot of

anxiety because it's almost like the hot girl or guy that you had a crush on

rejected you and then now they're coming back asking

what you're up to kind of thing but not really committing but like hey you know

it's looking at all time. Yeah.

And so it's bringing it up, right?
