| 0:14.0 | It's all about peace. As we continue to explore this week's series, which is all about beach meditations for tranquility. |
| 0:26.0 | And I'm Mary Mechley. I share a different meditation technique every day here on the podcast. |
| 0:32.0 | And each technique is customized around a weekly theme. So you can explore this theme in depth to really master a particular quality in your life. |
| 0:45.0 | And I happen to be recording this series at the beach. I am at Sanabelle Island. Actually I'm in the northern part of the island called Captiva. |
| 0:58.0 | And I am recording these meditations for you at the beach. So I am surrounded by palm trees and white powdery sand with lots of seashells. |
| 1:12.0 | Sanabelle and Captiva happen to be great locations to gather seashells. The currents that flow into the islands come from many different parts of the world. |
| 1:28.0 | And the islands actually face east-west. So when the waves carry the shells onto the shore, they don't crash onto the shore. |
| 1:43.0 | Like they do with the island is facing north-south. They kind of drift up and land on the beach and they're intact. |
| 1:53.0 | So you get many varieties of seashells here from all over the world. And so I've been collecting lots of seashells as I walk on the beach. |
| 2:03.0 | And of course I'm sharing the techniques with you that I'm creating as I go about my beach walks and sit down and meditate here and there along the beach. |
| 2:18.0 | Well in today's episode you're going to explore a meditation technique with the option to use a chakra. |
| 2:28.0 | Chakras are considered to be energy centers within your body that harbor your emotions, your feelings, and they also correspond to different organs within your body as well. |
| 2:43.0 | It's the whole mind-body connection. And as you do this guided visualization technique I'll share with you, you could focus on one of your chakras. |
| 2:54.0 | Or if you're not really sure about the chakras, you can simply focus on the visualization. |
| 3:01.0 | Well if you do the chakra and I challenge you to try it, these techniques are ancient. Over 5,000 years old people have been doing these techniques and they're very work, they're very effective. |
| 3:16.0 | So you might just try a new technique. |
| 3:21.0 | If you do choose to focus on a chakra it will be your second chakra which is located right at your reproductive area. |
| 3:32.0 | And this represents being open to life's flow and it represents your sexual organs, creativity, birthing, and idea. |
| 3:50.0 | New opportunities and not being so set or stuck in your ways. So it's the chakra to open up to new ideas. |
| 4:00.0 | And I think that's what the beach helps you to do. It helps you to feel as though there are many possibilities, especially if you're at the ocean. |
| 4:10.0 | It's a mincity that makes you feel as though anything is possible. And so this chakra, the element, there's an element associated with these chakras, well this element is water. |
