Take part in Mushin and battle your moods like a samurai. Musashi Miyamoto is considered to be one of Japan's fiercest and most celebrated samurais. He was known to advocate for the concept of mushin, or "no-mind," in combat. It involves acting without conscious thought, free from hesitation, fear, or distraction. By training himself to enter into a state of mushin during duels and battles, Musashi could maintain emotional equilibrium and react instinctively to his opponents' movements.

A DIFFERENT MEDITATION TECHNIQUE EVERY DAY FOCUSED ON A WEEKLY THEME:

welcome you to day six of our series this week you are mastering your emotions like a samurai an ancient

And the good news is that it is possible

to master your emotions.

And so this week you've had a machine challenge. This is your

weekly challenge for this week and you are daily beginning to master your moods by becoming more impartial to the ups and downs of life.

Not to where you're robotic, but rather you're

carefully considering difficult moods that you know may throw you off and this could

even be a mood such as excitement or anything intense that really draws you

away from focusing and can become a distraction.

So you'll think about when you might be experiencing

these kind of emotional states

and how you can balance your emotions.

Now, this doesn't mean that you can't go into extreme joy

or that you need to mask more difficult emotions.

You can always allow yourself to go into any emotional state

more deeply and simply to process that emotion.

In fact, that's absolutely essential and that is what meditation helps you to do so beautifully. You can process your emotional states right as you meditate.

But what becoming more impartial to your emotions is that when you are doing something important in your life and your emotional states are beginning to hinder you because maybe you can't pull yourself out of feeling tense or anxious or angry or resentful or maybe

you feel really excitable and so that's keeping you distracted.
