Today's guest is Lama Somo, one of the first American women to be ordained as a Tibetan,

Buddhist, Lama, or spiritual teacher.

She was born Linda Pritzker and is part of the family that built the Hyatt Hotel chain.

On her website, it says she has two inheritances, one from birth,

one she earned, the first financial, the second spiritual. She embarked on a very different path

from her family, studying Tibetan Buddhism for years, and even teaching herself to speak and understand Tibetan fluently

so that she could study with her chosen teacher.

Motivated by her desire to find happiness for herself and others, she has experience as a

psychotherapist, and she has her continuing path of spiritual inquiry.
