The King has arrived to the sound of the pipes at a flower show in Aberdeen.

Charles Wark Kilt has he opened the Royal Horticultural Society of Aberdeen. His majesty, currently in Scotland as part of the Royal Family's

traditional summer holiday in the highlands, is the patron of the society.

Previous patrons included the late Queen and King George, her father.

Gregory, I love this story because it suggests a Graham Green novel is somewhere in the background.

You know, our hero is coming out to observe the Kings visit at a flower show.

What I take this to mean is that Charles is going to be an active participant in reminding Scotland that it is a vital part of the Union

and not to ignore it or treat it like a constituency for a Commons vote.

He wants to make certain that this is the king of all of the British Isles, not just London, which is a weakness I've noted by the tourist. Do you disagree?

It's not just the weakness of the Tories, it's also even more the weakness of the

Labour Party, which have both of which have regarded London as the world.

Just as a lot of people in the northeast regard New York

as the center of the universe.

The reality is that Scotland is vital to the Union and that the late Queen and

currently King Charles have a great concern about preserving the sense of belonging of Scotland into the Union.

King Charles and of course the late Queen had very close ties with Scotland.

King Charles is much more dynamic and active
