that's probably too beautiful to live. It is MLK Day 2010. And as it turns out, I am

taking the day off because I am not a racist, like the rest of you who are working nice.

No, actually, I have all kinds of paperwork and logistical stuff to tend to concerning

the live show from New York next Tuesday. It's just eight days away, people. Park slope

we go hard. And also, we are getting some loose ends tied up related to our fundraiser,

which will be the first week of February. But I did not want to leave you without some

kind of little audio nugget today. So I thought what we'd do is we would listen back

to the TBTL that we put together for you exactly one year ago on MLK Day. So it was

2009. And I had just returned from running a half marathon in Phoenix. Jen had been in

Las Vegas. And Sean had been in Seattle, trying to hold down the fort with kind of mixed

results because we had left him with some tape that was not long enough on Friday. So

he was forced to improvise. And I think what we've learned is when Sean Ditori improvises

it. Sometimes it doesn't turn out exactly as you might hope. So I'm going to play this

for you right now. You know what? Just listen into the excitement in our voices, the hopefulness,

the sort of, you know, Jouah de Vive. I'll tell you this show used to be awesome. There

was a time when it's easy to forget this, but there was a time when TBTL didn't suck
