Hello, hi and welcome to another episode of the Emma Gunn's show and an episode where we catch up on the topic of losing 10 pounds, because that is the challenge that I set myself and then I know many of you are joining me on the ride of.

0:23.0

Great English there.

0:25.1

Five episodes ago.

0:26.3

So this is the fifth episode.

0:28.2

And if you have been here since the beginning of this particular series, you will know that it has taken a little bit of a strange change in course.

0:37.3

So this is how it started for those of you who need

0:39.5

to catch up. In 2019 slash 2020, I lost 30 pounds. This was the 30 pounds that changed everything

0:49.0

because I had lost that 30 pounds before, but I'd always regained it. But this was the effort

0:53.5

where I was determined

0:54.6

that I was not going to be a yo-yo-dieter anymore. I was going to yo-yo down and then never

0:59.6

yo-yo back up again. I maintained that weight until February, March, 20-23. I remember exactly

1:09.3

when it was because it was just before I went to see Taylor Swift in Las Vegas with my good friend Lindsay Kelk on night three or four of the ERAs tour, so we were early adopters.

1:19.6

It was around that time that I thought, you know what, I'm happy with this 30 pound weight loss, but I think I could do more.

1:26.6

And it also coincided funnily

1:28.7

enough I'm not sure I've ever mentioned this but because to me it's so obvious but it coincided with

1:34.1

when I was filming the podcast in a studio so it was a studio produced podcast and the first setup that we

1:43.6

had was on high stalls which was awful.

1:46.8

I hated how I looked but I refused to let my ego get in the way and say we have to change it

1:51.4

because I don't like how I look but thankfully in the end we ended up with a desk which was much

1:56.4

better but truth be told I just didn't like how I looked on camera and I thought you know what

2:00.8

I've lost 30 pounds and I'm so pleased with how I looked on camera. And I thought, you know what,

2:04.7

I've lost 30 pounds and I'm so pleased with that and I'm more active than I've been before.
