Summary
Welcome to Day 1 of this week's Beach Tranquility Meditations! As we launch into the summer season, I thought it would be an ideal time to spend some time at the beach, even if you only visit there within your mind's visualizations. You're guided in a meditation today to immerse yourself in the inner peace and tranquility of the beach.
This is part 1 of a 7-Part Meditation Series Beach Tranquility Meditations, Episodes 1122-1128.
YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE:
Visualize yourself at the beach every day this week. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the beach as you drift off to sleep.
You are guided with a different meditation technique every day that is customized for the week's theme. Weave the techniques into the most stressful times of your day to manage difficult emotions. The meditation techniques help to calm the "monkey mind," when your thoughts continuously interrupt your meditation.

| 0:00.0 | This is Episode 1122. Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast. And I honor you for giving |
| 0:11.2 | yourself permission to slow down and connect to the best part of who you are. I want to |
| 0:20.6 | welcome you to a brand new meditation series. We'll be exploring throughout this entire |
| 0:26.6 | week. It's going to be a week of beach meditation techniques. So I happen to be heading to the |
| 0:35.0 | beach this week and I thought I'd take you with me. I'm Mary Meckley and I share a different |
| 0:41.9 | meditation technique every day on the podcast and each technique is customized around a theme we |
| 0:48.5 | explore for the week. And as I mentioned this week it's all about the beach. You're going to hear a |
| 0:56.5 | lot of sounds of the waves in your meditation techniques this week and I encourage you to escape |
| 1:07.7 | with me to the beach whether or not you actually go to a beach or whether it's just in your mind. The |
| 1:16.4 | benefits will be similar because the beach conjures images of tranquility and when many people |
| 1:26.9 | think of escaping they think of the beach. So as you get ready to do the meditation techniques |
| 1:36.5 | for this week I encourage you to treat this week as a little escape for yourself whether or not |
| 1:46.9 | you're actually escaping. So think about things you like to do when you escape maybe you wear certain |
| 1:56.4 | casual comfortable clothes or your flip flops or maybe you treat yourself to |
| 2:03.7 | special coffee or tea or a meal or light a candle to put yourself in the mood of tranquility. |
| 2:12.8 | Whatever it takes this week I encourage you to do it. Take a little time each day to do something |
| 2:22.4 | to give yourself a little escape. So for today's meditation technique settle yourself in whether |
| 2:30.8 | you're seated on a meditation cushion at the end of your bed on the floor in a chair maybe |
| 2:38.5 | you're lying down or you could be going about your day doing your errands as you listen to this. |
| 2:44.2 | It's all good because we all start somewhere on our meditation slow down journey. So if you're |
| 2:52.6 | already meditating good for you but if you're just to the point where you're listening and you're |
| 2:59.8 | just starting to learn a little bit about meditation that is perfect. |
