Summary

When life gets busy and demanding, it's easy to fall into the trap of feeling like you've got to work harder to "get it all done."

But what if you simply made the decision not to get it all done? Can you let go of something on your to-do list and give yourself some time to slow down right now?

This episode is all about why it's important to slow down as yoga teachers, students, and content creators. It's your permission to let go (even if just a little) and return to your sources of inspiration.

Quick announcement! Jason is hosting a free live webinar next Wednesday, 12/15/22 all about balancing flexibility & mobility. Go save yourself a seat at jasonyoga.com/webinar

Hey, everyone. I'm Andrea Ferretti and this is episode 248 of Yoga Land.

0:09.6

Hi, Jason. Hi, Andrea. We are in the midst of a semi crisis in our family right now. We are.

0:18.0

We're honestly, we're having to get our minds online here because as you can probably

0:23.2

us, it's about the Chihuahua. It's about ginger and we think that she is experiencing low blood

0:30.0

sugar. I don't know what she's experiencing but I know that she's been shaking. She's even

0:35.6

shaker than you. She's shaker than usual. Yes. And the causes of that shakiness have been

0:41.9

addressed with the exception of food and I feel like I should go make her like a chicken sandwich.

0:48.8

Yeah, like go get her like a chicken omelette or something. And she's doing this look to me because

0:54.1

I'm like, you know, her comfort object where I feel like I need to put her in a baby Bjorn and like,

0:58.4

you know, bounce up and down for a little while. So now that we got that out of the way,

1:03.3

we're going to actually address a topic. But if we seem distracted. Yeah. I had to get that out

1:09.8

of the way to not be distracted. We're going to do our housekeeping items but I want to sort of

1:14.0

talk about the theme of this this episode first. So we're going to talk about the importance of

1:22.8

slowing down in order to tap into your creativity and inspiration. But first, let's do our

1:34.1

housekeeping. So you have your teacher's companion project that you've been working on and it is

1:40.3

I'm just going to tut your horn for you for a moment. That's okay. And then you can jump right in.

1:45.6

We've talked about it a little bit already. But over the years, we've done lots of podcasts where

1:50.4

Jason talks through, you know, different ways to use your body and different things to try and

1:57.5

alignment techniques and anatomy. And this is really, you were always wishing you could show

2:02.5

people visually. And now you're doing that. So these are short like 15 minutes or less, right?

2:08.7

Yeah. I can't do it. There's not less than 15 minutes. I wish I could do something less than

2:14.1

15 minutes. Okay. It's literally beyond my ability. Okay. You've heard me teach you, right?
