As a teenager, you might be wondering if you can get a job that makes you more money than conventional options, something that’s more than dead-end minimum wage work. How do you make good money if you’re 16 or 17?

First of all, relax. You’re young. Anything great takes time to accomplish. In the meantime, here are a couple of things you can do.
Work To Learn

My first piece of advice is work to learn, don’t work to earn. Don’t get a job just to make a quick buck or a few dollars. Pick an industry and a career within that industry and develop your skills and acquire knowledge about that career so you have a long term plan.

Better yet, choose someone that you can learn from and work under that person. As an apprentice or intern, you can develop skillsets from your mentor. Don’t just focus on making money.
