Sometimes we need to think about the cost of not doing something.

Because we get so used to the status quo, we can't even imagine how much better it would be if we were willing to invest.

So here's the big question this week.

If I wanted to make 85-year-old me miserable, what would I do?

I recently hosted a client getaway where it was 12 of my clients, myself and my chief of staff.

We did a weekend getaway.

On these getaways, we do so many fun things.

We hang out in lazy rivers.

We all have dinner together.

I rent a big house for everyone.

It's just great to get women together, women who are ambitious and love Jesus and love other people and, you know, are doing big things in their career or in their businesses.

But so we get all together.

And in one of the coaching sessions, I pose this question to everyone. If I wanted to make 85-year-old me miserable, what would I do? Because by far the most powerful thing I can do as a leader

and as a coach is to ask the right questions at the right time. So much of our success in our

lives isn't listening to someone with secret insider info. Now, of course, I give you all the secret insider info I have. Like if we just have this one secret bit of information, it's the missing puzzle piece that is going to make us wildly successful in life and everything's going to change. I wish it worked that way. It just doesn't work that way.

But if it did, it'd be amazing. Sign me up. The truth is real change and real success comes over time

from having a wise counselor ask you the right questions that you need to hear in the right moment.

Because anybody who pretends to know all the answers for you is prideful or

potentially predatory. Wisdom comes from life experience, from prayer, from reflection,

and getting asked the right questions in the right moment, like I said. And when is the right

moment? I believe this is the right moment for you. If you wanted to make 85 year old
