I'm John Dotch with Victor Davis Hanson, the Hoover Institution, and we turn to

geopolitics because there's an odd detail here that maybe I'm asking too much but I'm not alone.

I read from a report most recently.

Senators Tim Kane, Democrat Virginia, Todd Young, Republican Indiana, Chris Murphy, Democrat, Connecticut,

and Mike Lee, Republican Utah, right to the administration raising questions about the U.S.

strategy and its continued campaign of airstrikes against the

Uthies, as well as the constitutional authorities underpinning these strikes.

The senator said the U.S. may be, quote, in the midst of an ongoing

regional conflict that carries the risk of escalation

and that Congress must carefully deliberate before authorizing offensive military action.

Victor, something's missing in the Biden administration firing missiles at launch sites in

North Yemen.

The Congress has not given them permission to open fire on a sovereign state if it is and to my knowledge there is no

international organization that blesses the US opening fire. If the

administration has a case have you heard it Victor?

No I think what's happening is that when they came into power John they lifted the

sanctions on Iran and gave them a 90 billion dollar windfall.

They begged them to go back into the Iran deal

with the Iranians interpreted as appeasement.

They lifted the global terrorist label on the Houthis

and that gave them access to financial
