| 0:49.6 | And how can we be sure that we stay even keeled no matter what kind of craziness is happening around us? |

| 1:03.5 | benefits of meditation. It can be short term, it can be long term, but even just taking a few moments a day to relax your |
| 1:13.5 | mind and to settle into your body has been shown to have profound health benefits after that |
| 1:21.3 | i am going to do one of the meditations that i have a bit of a love, hate relationship with. |
| 1:28.6 | It's called a loving kindness meditation. |
| 1:31.4 | And you start the meditation by focusing on yourself and by showing yourself loving kindness. |
| 1:37.8 | And if that's not hard enough, you then reach out and start showing kindness to someone that you love. |
| 1:48.0 | And if that's not hard enough, you then go the next step to share some loving kindness with someone |
| 1:53.1 | that you barely know, that you may really have no heartfelt concern about the outcomes of their |

| 2:01.2 | But yet you take a moment and pause and show them some loving kindness. |
| 2:06.1 | And then perhaps what is the hardest to do in this day and age is to show loving kindness |
| 2:12.9 | to people that we disagree with and that we often don't see eye to eye with. |
