Hello, it's Eve here. Welcome to Radio Headspace and to Wednesday. I hope you're

having a good week and as much as possible are able to stay in this Wednesday. So we can

probably all relate to how quickly things can change around us and I'll use a little

story to illustrate this point. My mother-in-law came to stay a couple of months ago, so naturally

we wanted to make the most of the trip. And it was a Sunday morning about three weeks into

her trip and she was due to stay for five weeks. Anyway, we were chatting about what we were

going to do that day when suddenly she let out a shriek. She saw that the airline had

emailed her telling her to check in for her flight and we were all really confused as she

was supposed to be here for another two weeks. Unfortunately, she had got her dates totally

wrong and she was flying back that evening. She lives in Venezuela so sadly changing

the flight was just not an option as the flights are very limited. Literally within two minutes

everything changed. Now you may have heard me talk about this before, but everything

in life is governed by impermanence. Life is constantly changing all of the time. Some

things we like, we want to hold on to and others we can't wait until it stops. Now I think

we tend to understand change and impermanence on an intellectual level, but on an experiential

level it can sometimes be harder to navigate, especially as for a lot of us we tend to be
