Summary

For Stephen Lease, co founder of Goodr, becoming a serious runner meant wearing the usual running outfit. However, the outfit simply wasn't fashionable for him or fit his personality.  So he and his co-founders asked themselves a question: why couldn't they build a running company based on Fun and Fashion. They did and what eventually developed became the premium sunglasses brand that we now know as Goodr.

In Part 1 of this episode, Stephen discusses Why Goodr is built on the Four F's, Why they are a 5-year overnight success, Stephen's 6 learning experiences, 2 ways to foster entrepreneurship in Children, Why being a founder is not for everyone, Recounting Stephen's Awakening, 5 things people want from sunglasses, Why they didn't raise prices during the Trump Tariffs, 3 things that convince Stephen that Goodr was going to work, Why most entrepreneurs work for free in the early days, Why he still shadows other Founders, Stephen's advice to college graduates, and You should go to college, and so much more.

Join us while Ramon Vela interview Stephen in Part 1 of this episode and listen to him share the inside story of a brand.
