Good evening. The show begins tonight in Pacific Watch, the Palisades Fire, the empty reservoir, built in the 1960s to support firefighting in the palisades and left empty for the year before the fire in 2025. Why? Unknown. An investigation will follow.

I learned from the LA Times that reservoir 117 million gallons would have provided the firefighters water for 43 hours at the rate that they

were using. They drew on hydrants that only had a million gallons reservoir available to them,

and that's why the water pressure dropped and they ran out of water. The original fire was in the Pacific Palisades spreading vastly.

Most damage there. That's the big fire. More to learn. Thanks to Jeff, please. Lancaster reports,

griping about the price of eggs at Costco. Sounds very American.

Why are eggs expensive?

They probably are anyway,

but the swine, the avian flu, H5N1,

is a new risk in the land.

A culling of chickens in Delaware and Maryland reported on the East Coast

and 15 states reporting H5N1 in cattle, in geese, and chickens, and ducks.

Richard Epstein of the Kivitas Institute, University of Texas,

speaks of the L.A. fires as a man-made disaster, man-made, not nature-made. He also speaks of the pardon power of the

president based on the observations of an 1866 ex parte Garland law at the Supreme Court,

the pardon power is very powerful, but not clarified. Richard looks into the matter. Pardon power. Puzzle. It'll come up again.

Keystone report was Selena Zito, Butler County where the president-elect survived the assassination

attempt of July of 2024, is also the county where U.S. Steel has a bid from Nippon Steel that is rejected by Washington.

Now there's another bidder, the second bidder, and very much wants to merge with U.S. Steel.

So the people of Butler County are going to get a rescue.
