This is episode 1155. Welcome to the daily meditation podcast. And I honor you for being

0:13.0

right where you are. As you get ready to meditate. And we continue along with this week's

0:23.0

series on how to snap out of a bad mood. And if you're just joining us, you are in

0:33.2

the right place because these episodes follow a theme. We focus on a particular theme

0:39.7

each week, experimenting with different meditation techniques every single day. But the episodes

0:48.0

don't necessarily follow any sequence. So if you are just joining us or you've been with

0:56.4

us throughout the entire week, it's all good. I'm Mary Mechley and I share a different meditation

1:04.4

technique every day here on the podcast. And as I mentioned, our theme is how to snap out

a bad mood. And you're also going to discover an herb that may benefit you. Now, as always, you want to

1:46.4

check with your physician before you take any herb, especially if you take other medications or

1:53.2

you're pregnant or breastfeeding. You just want to make sure that the herb is the right herb for you.

2:00.1

Don't be afraid of the herbs. Just take caution as you try them. I've had reactions such as a

2:08.8

stomach ache from sipping chamomile, which is a pretty tame herb. Well, I'll share with you an herb

2:17.3

that can help you as you reduce tension brought on by a bad mood. But let's start with the herb

2:26.9

rodeola. This may be an herb that's new to you. This is an herb that is an adaptogenic herb.

2:38.4

And what adaptogenic means is that the herb adapts to give you the support you need.

2:49.4

So as you manage tension and stress from your mood spiraling downward,

2:58.4

rodeola, rozea, can help you to balance your mind body connection. And so what it does essentially

3:10.8

is to help you manage mood swings. So as you go throughout the week and explore the series,

3:21.6

this is another way you could support yourself. And it's kind of fun to try new herbs. In fact,
