Summary

The final road stage of the Giro d'Italia, offering the perfect parcours for attackers to try and make a last difference in the general classification - long high altitude climbs, valleys between the climbs, technical descents and a 7km mountain top finish made this a beautiful stage both in design and aesthetics. Would Egan Bernal be able to defend his maglia rosa against Damiano Caruso and yesterday's stage winner Simon Yates?
