Justices yesterday rejected a challenge to the FDA's long-time approval of Miffipristone.

This pill is used in more than 60% of U.S. abortions, and has become a target of anti-abortion activists since the Supreme Court

overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022.

That's in part because it can be mailed into states that have limited or banned abortion.

Yesterday's ruling was unanimous, and it was a victory for abortion rights advocates.

But this may not be the end of the story from if a prison.

Access to the drug could now depend on who wins the presidential election in November.

If Donald Trump wins, his administration could still restrict it or take it off the market

entirely.

Meanwhile, President Biden has repeatedly pledged to safeguard access to abortion pills.

Vice President Kamala Harris spoke about the decision yesterday.

This is not a cause for celebration because the reality of certain things are still not going to change.

We are looking at the fact that two-thirds of women of reproductive age in America live in a

state with a Trump abortion ban. This ruling to protect access to IVF.

This bill would establish federal protections for in vitro fertilization.

This is a highly popular fertility treatment, but it's erupted as a big election issue.

An Alabama ruling earlier this year declared that frozen embryos were people.

That caused Alabama clinics to temporarily halt the treatment since embryos can be destroyed in the process of IVF.

Yesterday, the Senate voted not to advance the bill to protect access.
