Today's episode dives into an incredibly important topic that has not really been one that we've

talked about on the podcast a whole

lot. I think the only time this topic came up, the topic of painful sex, or pretty much the

only time was an episode quite a while ago, and it was related to one of the lesser known

side effects of hormonal birth control, which can be painful sex. But in today's episode, we are

talking about painful sex and vaginismus with Dr. Janelle Frederick, also known as the

vagina rehab doctor. One of the main themes that came out in today's episode was how common

an issue of painful sex is for couples. How many couples

actually struggle with this? And not just that it's a little bit painful, but you can still do

it, but actually the percentage of couples for whom the issue is so severe that sex may not even

be able to take place. So this is a huge, huge issue.

Obviously one that can be surrounded by shame and silence, something that people may be experiencing
