Today I welcome back, Dr. Mark Sklar to the podcast. And in today's interview, we talk about some of the

common myths around artificial reproductive technology, particularly as it relates to aging.

One of the challenges I feel is kind of like an overarching challenge in our kind of modern day society and culture,

our ideas around IVF and other artificial reproductive technology is the idea that it will

always be available. You know, if natural conception doesn't work, then we can just go straight to IVF and there's a reasonable

chance that it'll work. And though there's some truth to that, the success rates of IVF are

directly tied to a woman's age. More specifically, the age of the egg itself. And in today's

episode, we talk about the realities of aging and

the statistics around artificial reproductive technology. And ask that question, is egg donation

something you have ever considered? And also, at what point would it make sense to consider it

if it's something that you are comfortable

with? So definitely a fascinating and informative conversation. And before we jump into today's

episode, I just want to share a little bit about Mark. And we will link previous episodes of

the podcast where Mark was a guest. I can't remember how many times he's been on the show,
