| 0:28.7 | All week long, you are going to be exploring the second Yama from the Yoga Sutras from |
| 0:37.8 | the ancient sage Pantanjali who is reported to have written the Yoga Sutras way back between |
| 0:47.7 | the times of 500 BC to possibly around 200 AD. |
| 0:58.8 | During that time frame, the Yoga Sutras were reported to have been written, we are not |
| 1:03.9 | sure exactly when during that time frame, but that's when it's estimated. |
| 1:10.2 | These Yoga Sutras were created. |
| 1:15.1 | Now when you think about the Yoga Sutras, they have to do with living your life in a way |
| 1:24.1 | that's based on yoga or unity. |
| 1:30.8 | And do you think that Pantanjali put together these Yoga Sutras because everything in life |
| 1:39.2 | was fantastic? |
| 1:42.1 | I doubt it. |
| 1:44.2 | The Yoga Sutras are ways to elevate your consciousness, in particular the Yamas. |
| 1:52.6 | There are the Yamas, which you're exploring for the next several weeks. |
| 1:57.8 | You explored the Yama of Ahimza or Non-Violence in last week's series. |
| 2:06.2 | This week you're exploring the Yama of Truthfulness. |
| 2:11.6 | And these are right ways of action. |
| 2:15.8 | And it seems to me that in our world today we need to get back to the basics. |
| 2:23.6 | These Sutras stand the test of time as to what's needed in the world today. |
