I'm Mary Mechley and I am always honored when you show up for yourself.

You are getting ready to embark on one of the most important things you could do for yourself all day long

as you get ready to meditate.

Science shows more and more these days how meditation is one of the best ways to calm your mind and body among so many other things.

And this week you have been experiencing a special theme, finding certainty in an uncertain world.

And I wonder how you're doing with your challenge this week.

Every week you are issued a challenge where daily I encourage you to do something that helps to reinforce the theme of the week.

Well this week you are challenged to be a little disruptive, disruptive in a way that helps you to fully embrace your certainty.

And this might be you going against the grain, this might be you standing up for your beliefs.

And this can be a little frightening, it takes courage to stand for what you believe in, especially if those around you don't believe you.

So I've shared with you throughout the week that this series is an honor of a friend of mine who requested this theme and he's dedicating it to you

because his doctor actually told him he was going to die very soon and very suddenly.

He was shocked and terrified that his doctor told him this, what do you do with that?

How are you supposed to wake up in the morning and be excited about your life after your doctor tells you that?

That is why he fervently believes in going on a quest this week to experience certainty to do whatever he can to feel certainty that he is going to survive just fine.

And he's going to live much longer than the doctor anticipates.

So today, as you settle yourself down and get ready to meditate, you're going to be guided in what I like to call a slow meditation.

Every day six, which for me is a Friday, for you that may be a different day just depending on when you started the series.

Well, I like to layer together the meditation techniques you've been exploring all week long when you layer the techniques together.

It's like a flow, it's like a dance and I usually layer techniques when I meditate.

So as you sit up straight and close your eyes, gently elevate your eyes upwards.
